Hot off the Catwalk!

Hot off the Catwalk!

The spring/summer fashion shows were packed to the brim, with fresh new looks. There are plenty of trends to choose from, to perk up your spring wardrobe.

Fashion is constantly evolving, but always takes inspiration from past decades. This season many fashion houses have been taking their inspiration from the 70's. We've seen lots of mustard yellow, browns, & creams on the runways. While we've seen Pucci bringing back flares, for that hippie chic look.

Denim has been seen on most of the catwalks, with flared jeans & denim skirts making a comeback. But don't worry, you don't need to go full on 70's with your look! If you want to update your look, just pick a simple short denim skirt or a pair of slightly flared jeans, & pair them with a simple t-shirt & a classic brogue shoe. Mustang "Polly" would look great with any 70's inspired look, with its block high heel, platform sole, & retro styling. I know I'll be wearing this with everything!

Another trend still going strong is black & white. This was a key theme of the Balenciaga show this season. You can't really go wrong with the monochrome look, but coming into the summer months you may not want to wear so much black. If you want to tap into this trend why not go for monochrome accents. Just add a chic little black & white clutch, or a pair of black & white loafers. "Coral Reef" from Clarks will keep you right on trend with its pointed toe & black & white detailing. This little loafer is so versatile, you can dress it up or keep it casual. Perfect for work & play.

Full printed skirts have made a major comeback in recent years, & are still big for 2015. Michael Kors kept things classic with bright floral print. What better way to keep your spring look fresh, than a pretty floral skirt. To dress up your printed full skirt, team it with a pointed high heel pump. The point is big this season and looks great against the soft nature of a full skirt.

If you want a splash of colour, with a bit of edge, then "Dalhart Sorbet" from Clarks is the shoe for you this spring. It comes in a beautiful deep coral suede, with contrasting black stiletto heel, to give your look a little edginess. With a sharp pointed toe, this pump will look great teamed with a full floral skirt.

For a slightly softer point, why not try "Billie" from S.Oliver. This high heel pump comes in a soft shimmering cream & gold print, so it will go with everything.
