Aine’s Fab Five

So yeah, it’s that time of the year again. The summer sales have officially landed and everyone is on the hunt for a bargain buy or that last minute pair of shoes to throw into their suitcase. If this is the case for you, then definitely don’t give McConnell shoes a miss. It’s one of our biggest sales yet. However maybe with so much to choose from you find it impossible to decide which shoes are perfect for you then keep reading as I’m hoping I can give you a little bit of inspiration.

I was set the challenge by Rachel (the big boss) to choose my five top picks from the sale. I stared at the endless racks of shoes and thought to myself how am I going to whittle this down to just five! Eventually, with a sigh of relief I got there and believe I have chosen five styles that cover all aspects of a summer wardrobe; I’m calling them the Fab Five so here goes.

No.1 – Tamaris Rhonda
These beautiful ankle styled boots with a peep toe front scream to me wardrobeTamaris Rhonda must have! I am constantly stuck for what shoes to wear when I’m going out for the likes of lunch or dinner. I want to get out of my flats but don’t want to over do it with a super high heel. (I’m hoping I’m not on my own with this constant dilemma? Lol) Anyway, that’s when Tamaris Rhonda caught my eye, it fits the bill perfectly. I love the suede detail, the cork effect heel and the tied tassle at the back, all making the shoe more edgy and standout. But do you want to know the best part of this shoe.... it is only £34.99 from £69.99. I don’t know about you but I couldn’t say no, a complete steal!!

No.2 – Millie & Co -Frazer
Mega bargain alert!! This barely there styled stiletto has a whopping 50% knocked off the price. It also comes in a fuchsia Mil Frazerpink but it is the luminous coral which stood out and caught my eye. Perfect for adding that extra colour to complete your outfit and with the 4inch heel you will have no problem strutting your stuff. Now you’re maybe questioning to yourself: but are they comfy? My answer is yes, this super stiletto features underfoot cushioning at the pressure points of your foot to allow you to dance all night this is something that is hard to find in a stiletto

No.3 – Earth Spirit Tyler
Ear TylerAre you heading on holidays and may be doing a considerable amount of walking and don’t want your holiday to be ruined by having aching feet? Well then Earth Spirit Tyler is your answer. Featuring built in arch support and a flexible sole unit. And did I mention, adjustable straps at the ankle and top of foot which is a major plus if you find your feet swelling due to the heat you can adjust them accordingly to what suits you. These sandals really are 100% comfort and I cannot wait to get wearing these when I jet off to travel across Europe this summer.

No. 4 – Refresh Wilson
Ref WilsonSummer 2017 saw the rise of the chunky flatform sandals to replace your go to flats. It's a trend that people either hate of love. For those of you that are unsure maybe I can convince with Refresh Wilson. This sandal delivers a unique take on the trend with its rose gold crackled upper, a buckle fastening at the heel helps to secure the foot whilst the white platform wedge will give you a welcome posture boost. Dress these up with a feminine dress or pair down with your classic denims.

No.5 – Tamaris Olivia
So maybe you’re not convinced on the flatforTam Olivia Navym trend and want to stick to a reliable flat, well I’ve picked out my favourite, Tamaris Olivia. What I loved the most was the colours. Black and tan lend themselves to anything which is ideal when you have one of those days were you have no time to think what's going to go with what. Eye catching gold themed circles adorn the upper and adjustable straps Tam Olivia Goldthis casual and versatile flat is just perfect. The cushioned sole gives you all day, ultimate comfort!
