Measure at home foot gauges
Our team is highly trained with many years of fitting children’s shoes. We are always happy to offer advice about which products may best suit your child’s needs. These gauges have been designed by Clarks to measure your child’s feet at home, when getting into store to access professional advice is difficult.

Which gauge do I need?
Toddler gauge - Ages 0-4 (infant size 2 up to infant size 9.5) Click here.

Coronavirus restrictions - Not for profit gauge LENDING service
We want to ensure as many of our customers as possible can get access to use these ‘measure at home gauges’ whilst Coronavirus Restrictions are in place. Normally we sell these gauges for customers to buy and keep, but as Coronavirus Restrictions have made getting hold of more stock very difficult, we have set up a not for profit LENDING service. Lending gauges means more customers can access ‘measure at home gauges’.

How does the LENDING service work?
When you place an order for one of the gauges you will pay £25 (£20 returnable deposit + £5 restock/cleaning fee). We will dispatch the gauge within one working day of receiving your order but please remember that delivery delays outside of our control are causing packages to take longer to arrive than normal.

Measure your child’s feet and use the Clarks online conversion chart and a video to help. 

How do I return the gauge?
Please send it back promptly to enable other customers to use the service. Get in touch with your order reference number and you will be emailed a prepaid returns label to print at home (UK customers only) and a local drop off point will be specified. Reuse the wrapping and protective packaging it came in, to protect it during its return to us. If you are self-isolating, please make this clear when you contact us and we can organise a non-contact collection from your address.

These returns are subject to our normal terms and conditions. As free returns are available for UK customers only please contact our web team by email for further information or advice regarding returns from other countries. When the gauge is received by us you will be refunded your £20 deposit. The gauge and packaging will then be cleaned & restocked following the latest relevant government advice.

How long will delivery take?

Standard Delivery

Orders will be delivered within 2-5 working days (unless stated otherwise in the table above), excluding weekends and bank holidays.

2-Day Delivery

For 2-day delivery orders must be placed before 1pm Monday to Friday and if in stock are guaranteed to arrive within 48hrs (excluding Saturday and Sunday). Orders placed on weekends and bank holidays will be processed on the next working day, for delivery in 48 hrs. There may be some remote areas where our couriers are unable to guarantee delivery within 48 hours.

Next Day Delivery

For next day delivery orders must be placed before 1pm Monday to Friday and if in stock are guaranteed on the next working day. Orders placed on weekends and bank holidays will be processed on the next working day, for delivery the day after. There may be some remote areas where our couriers are unable to guarantee delivery within 24 hours.

Keeping You Informed

We'll email you updates to let you know how the delivery is going. Some email accounts will 'Junk' any emails that are sent from addresses that are not recognised, so make sure you add  to your address book so that we can get in touch with you! If you don't receive your order within the maximum delivery time for your country and if you've not received any tracking emails please get in touch and we'll be happy to track the order for you.



We make every effort to ensure that your order is carefully despatched to you, and we hope that you’re happy with your purchase. However, if you have any cause for dissatisfaction with your goods you may return them. Items must be unworn, in their original condition and packaging and returned within 14 days of receiving them. Please ensure shoes are only tried on indoors on carpeted surfaces. Do not write on, tape or glue anything to the box.

You should follow the procedure below.

i) In Store

You can return the items to any McConnell Shoes store, within 14 days of receipt. What to do:-

Take your items to be returned as well as your sales receipt and returns form (We will not be able to process your return without this document) to a McConnell Shoes store. When you arrive, please present yourself at the social distance footprint footprint at either side of the till.  If the item(s) is in its original condition and packaging, we will process the return for you. The money will be returned to the account you used to pay for the goods on the website. Please allow up to 14 days for this to appear in your account.

ii) Return by post

You can return or exchange any items to us, within 14 days of receipt of goods, free of charge (UK only). What to do:-
Please call us or  email us to organise your return, quoting your reference number. We will e-mail you a returns label and details of your nearest drop off point. Complete the returns form and enclose it, together with your returned items, inside the original packaging. Goods cannot be returned or refunded without this information.
With the exception of faulty or damaged goods, if you return your purchase by post or courier after the 14 day period, we reserve the right to not offer you a refund in full. We will instead return your purchase to you and prior to sending it out, we will charge you the delivery fee that is applicable to the product purchased and the location to which your returns will be delivered. 


If the item is in its original condition and packaging, and is returned within 14 days, we will process the refund for you. Please allow up to 14 days for this to appear in your account.

Christmas Returns Policy

Usually, we ask you to return any unwanted items within 14 days. At Christmas, we know that's not always possible as items are bought in advance and given as gifts at Christmas time. So if you're ordering items now for Christmas presents, you may return them up to 6th January, as long as they have not been worn or used, have the original labels attached and they're returned to us in their original packaging.
